Four man crew, four hour watches. Who are these guys?

Al's the skipper and we know who he is, but who are Charlie, Kit & Steve? The mystery crew - until now.

Steve Teeter, age 55: I've done mostly Puget Sound sailing for the past 25 years in one design and PHRF classes. Had to do this return Ocean trip back for my second ocean passage. Its been great so far.

Charlie Hill, 49: I was introduced to sailboat racing by Al in 1975. Have raced in boats from dinghies to 40+ feet. Most of sailing experience in Puget Sound and San Juan Islands. Have sailed the Pacific and Arctic in ships, but this is my first time in open water in a sailboat. Very supportive family (Janice, Davis and Meredith) await my return.

Kit Bangs: I last sailed with Al about 30 years ago on the Around the Sound Race on a C&C 20-something. Since then, thanks to the family salt "Boats" Young, I have puttered around in a Mirror Dinghy from time to time and enjoy taking my kayak out past the breakers at Otter Rock on the Oregon coast. At 50 this passage seems fitting indeed. Shake and a snort to all the crew on shore.
